Vague LTA Rules for Fetching Passengers in Taxi?

Recently, a member in our Facebook group – Complaint Singapore, posted about his encounter at RWS taxi stand..

According to him, he waited at the taxi stand queue, and was a family of 4 adults + 1 child, which is disallowed in normal sedan taxi by LTA (Land Transport Authority), as such, he rejected them, but was verbally abused by the family, until he took out his phone to take video.

I want to complain…

Yesterday evening at RWS taxi stand. Indian couple with parents and 1 child , maybe 2 or 3 years old coming to my Taxi after refused by 2 front Blue and Silver taxi. Off course I refused them to come to my Taxi reason being ” 5 paxs”.
Same as usual, they so angry and shouted at me … “WHAT IS THE PROBLEMS? WHY YOU DON’T TAKE US…, OTHER TAXI CAN, WHY YOU CAN NOT,.. I MAKE SURE YOU LOST YOUR TAXI LICENSE, YOU TAXI DRIVER ARE RACIST…”
I took up my mobile phone wanted to video, He run away…

Naturally, a lot of comments arise from the post..

…as well as some heated disputes over the LTA rules..

Should LTA starts educating members of public, especially foreigners?

As it seems to be common trends in Singapore nowadays, and our poor cab drivers are suffering because of these “ignorance” passengers, on a daily basis..
