An anonymous complaint was submitted in regards to an incident relating to Grab Hitch service in Singapore.
The person (likely the driver) who posted it, is asking everyone to be careful of the said rider (passenger) who had placed a hitch booking via the Grab app.
According to him, the rider had earlier agreed to the ride with 1 person to share, but upon the driver’s arrival, the booking was abruptly canceled.
.
The rider then informed the Grab Hitch driver somehow she was unable to locate the booking in her app, and accused the driver of canceling the booking.
.
.
Subsequently, the driver checked the message in his app, and confirmed the booking was canceled by the rider instead..
.
Comments for the post quickly came in and sided the driver..
Another person advised the driver to cancel the ride and move on.. as such cases are common.
.
Is this another case of ignorant ride abusing the Grab Hitch service or a system glitch within the Grab app?
Have riders misunderstood the concept of Grab Hitch, and forgotten that most Grab Hitch drivers are actually private drivers, sending them “on-the-way”?
