There are numerous cases reported about a fake “Sheng Siong Supermarket” Facebook account posting “Sponsored” (or Paid) Facebook ads on Facebook recently!!
According to several reliable sources, the said fake page will post random sponsored ads “ON and OFF“, and attempts to execute some phishing acts via an external website.. The said ad is also known to deactivate before anyone can flag it to Facebook for any action..
Despite several attempts to flag it to Facebook, it seems no actions is taken so far..
Phishing is the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by disguising oneself as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

Once a Facebook user click on the “Get Offer” button, it will bring them to an external website..
On the phishing website, there are fake information to entice unaware users to fill-up a survey in order to stand a chance to win a prize from Sheng Shiong Supermarket..
There are even fake comments below the header, telling others the said scam is real.. but it’s not!
Upon a quick check on the fake Facebook page on Facebook Ad Library, shows it was created since 22 May 2019.. and had even changed name once, which is a sign to doubt its authenticity..
Smart Facebook users are quick to tell the fake straight away.. and warned others about it..!!
